Stick to one style in the interior
Correctly mixing up styles is very eclectic but in general, combination of styles does not work as well as some may imagine. That’s why the base of most home décor and interior design courses is for the students to find their respective style, a style which they prefer above the others and then keep themselves to that particular style throughout the designing of a room’s furninshing.
The most popular styles these times include the following:
- Modern, clean and clear surfaces: the emphasis is on the shapes, forms and the cleanness of the colors or materials. Wood, metal and glass can be greatly combined.
- Country style design: this is what most people could call home especially with age. This style is classy, warm and cosy.
- Beach villa style: this is a cool and light sort of a design inspired by the sun –sea- sand experience.
